Secrets of Building MLM Downlines - Part One

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 6:33 pm on Monday, April 27, 2009

This article will show you how to quickly build Multilevel Marketing (MLM) downlines.

Being an MLMer you will come across a situation where you find a person who may be able to bring in a lot of members into your downline, but they may not feel that they are currently in a position to participate.

In this situation you can use the advice in this article to influence them into joining and expanding your team.

Here are some options:

1. Firstly do your best to get them without any promises.

or

2. Promise to put X amount of members under them.

or

3. If it is possible with your MLM, open a few positions under yourself. Sign your self up for the first three, four or five positions one under the other. Your first five members are therefor yourself, all placed one under the other in a straight line. (If your MLM doesn’t allow this then you may like to sign up some close relatives :)

You then start building your downline under your bottom position under you. Let’s say you make a group of 10, 20 or 30 members under your bottom position. You then find someone who can bring in a large downline or has a large list of contacts, a heavy hitter.

Offer that person one of your positions under you as a means of sweetening their decision making processes. How you arrange the proposal is up to you. You may give him or her the position straight away or transfer the position to him or her after X amount of people join under that position.

Of excuses available to any current MLMer, his or her company won’t allow them to join another MLM company is the most used. He or she can volunteer another person. (See my coming article on Japanese MLMers).

Now, let’s say you own five positions under you and under those five positions you have 30 members. You find the Heavy Hitter and he or she agrees to your proposal.

Which of the five positions are you going to give that person? I’d give the Heavy Hitter the bottom free position you own just above the 30 members. Depending on the structure of your pay plan you may want to place him or her into a different position.

Don’t go explaining that you have five positions to which you would give him or her one. Just tell them that you have, not “one” but “a” position available if they can give you a quick decision. For large list owners building a downline may only be the click of a mouse depending on the target area that the list falls into.

You may at times have the opportunity to meet members in other MLMs. Find out who their sponsor is etc. You are always looking for bigger fisherman with a bigger net. Keeping lists of big players is a great thing to have. With a list like that you can move a whole lot faster. This will also be covered in my Japanese MLMer article.

If you like this approach and it works for you, then you will want to repeat it for your other positions or open more positions and build under them and repeat the above. Other advantages of building under these open positions is to be able to give them to someone you love. For more downline secrets see part two. Read on:

Using Guaranteed Signups to Build MLM Downline

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 8:56 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Have you heard of guaranteed signups? Did you know that they were a great way to build your downline? Well, if you did not know, now you do. As long as you are using a reputable company, guaranteed signups provide you with one of the fastest methods of building your MLM downline. If you did not know the power of using guaranteed signups to build your MLM downline, you are missing out on a lucrative opportunity.

If you take a look at many of the internet’s MLM marketers, the most successful ones and you were able to sit down and have a conversation with them, you would find that they too build their business in a successful manner using guaranteed sign ups. However, there is a key to using guaranteed signups to build your MLM downline and that key is to make sure that the company you use is a legitimate one. This is far easier said than done.

However, there are some things that you should look for to ensure that you are actually getting a legitimate company. The first thing you want to look for is the amount of advertisements they perform each day. For example, there are companies that send out more than two million advertisements each day. This is what you want. How does this work?

Well, the company is actually advertising themselves. When a visitor sees this advertisement, if they are interested, they will click that link. They will then find themselves at a link page contained twenty different links that are all to business opportunities. The visitor then reviews these links and perhaps clicks on one that interests them. If they find one that interests them and clicks on it, there is guaranteed traffic. This will mean that these people who click on the link should be interested in your business. This is what you want.

Another thing you want to look for is how the company actually goes about getting these guaranteed sign ups. For example, is that company paying someone to join your business? If so, you want to look for another company. You do not want a company that pays others to come to you, this means they are not truly interested in your opportunity, instead they are interested in the pay.

The same goes for companies that offer other types of incentives or benefits. There is no genuine interest in your program; instead, they are interested in what the company is offering them for coming to you. This means that they are highly unlikely to really help your business in any way. This means they are less likely to help you build your downline, they are less likely to make any sales, therefore, less likely to earn you any type of commission.

You want to look for a company that provides you with qualified leads. This means they do their homework, they know the right market, and know just how to get them. You want to make sure that they are focused more on getting you genuinely interested sign ups instead of the number of sign ups. Even a few high quality sign ups that will actually boost your business is far better than many low quality sign ups that will go nowhere.

However, you have to understand this: all the reliable companies can give you quality sign ups. Only YOU can make these sign ups respond to your business. You are the one that needs to take the motivation and drive to turn these sign ups into team members that help build your business and are truly interested in building their own. It requires motivation, communication and the drive so that you can succeed.

MLM Downline Building - Your Key to a Successful Network Marketing Business

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 3:45 pm on Friday, April 17, 2009

The number one MLM strategy is to lead with your product, and NOT your opportunity. Leading with the opportunity attracts bargain hunters, with high expectations for immediate results. They couldn’t care less about the product, and therefore will, without a doubt, fail. To grow your MLM downline, you need retention, and people that love the product and are consumers of it. In fact, you want to be sure they would use the product regardless of the opportunity. Opportunity must be secondary.

Which brings me to the second MLM strategy…you must be a consumer first. Above and beyond that, you must be passionate about your product. You should have a genuine belief in the benefits of your product. When you do, people will feel your honest enthusiasm, trust you, and be willing to try what you have to offer. On the other hand, they will easily detect your lack of passion, and quickly run the other way if they feel they are being “sold”. People are consumers, they love to buy, but they they want to be part of the buying process, and do not want to be “sold”.

Next in your MLM strategy to grow a successful network marketing business, you have to have a product that is unique, or exclusive. It has to be a product that cannot be found cheaper or easier at a local store. Here’s a little tidbit for you, studies have shown that the best categories to choose a product from have to do with health, wealth, or love.

It goes almost without saying that you must know your product and it’s benefits inside and out. What will it do for the consumer, will it solve their pain or problem? Will it make them feel or look better? Will it in some way make their quality of life better? Be prepared to answer your prospect’s questions with knowledgeable, accurate answers, and you will build your network marketing business on a solid foundation.

The last network marketing strategy I want to leave you with is to know your company, it’s terms, conditions, and policies. You should have a clear understanding of it’s compensation plan and how it works. You will need to develop a marketing plan or system that you can follow and use to guide your MLM downline. Be prepared to teach, and show your downline what you have learned. You must be a leader…a leader learns by serving others. In this you will find your rewards.

Motivating Your MLM Downline

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 8:13 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2009

You’ve started your MLM Business; you’ve sponsored enough people to get to your first promotion; and no one is doing anything. Does this sound familiar?

How do you motivate your MLM Downline?

I am often asked the “Motivation” question. It’s a tough one because there are no easy answers. Motivation is an internal process.

Here are my answers to these questions.

First, I don’t personally believe that it is possible to MOTIVATE another person. You can INSPIRE them through your actions and efforts, but motivation comes from within. It’s something each person must get on his/her own.

Think about your own motivation. What can your sponsor, upline or anyone in MLM really do to motivate you to take action in your business?

Your won reason “why” for doing the business must be hugely compelling to you. It must be a non-negotiable thing that you will not be denied. It must be something that is on your mind daily so you are compelled to take action and achieve your MLM goals.

What ways have you been inspired in your MLM business? Who has inspired you and what was it about that person that was inspiring?

Ways to inspire include always being in action yourself. Do you have a company top sponsor list? Be on it so they see and know that you believe and are taking action.

Have a company newsletter? Be in it -share ideas and articles to educate.

Recognize achievements of your downline, both big and small. After all, the size of the accomplishment varies person to person and small steps grow to giant leaps.

Have tools and trainings to educate and interact with the team.

Be accessible - return emails and phone calls and be more than a robot. Take time to ask how things are going and make note of birthdays, etc.

Do you have incentive programs for your team?

Contests are very motivating for some and others couldn’t care less. You’ll want to play around with this concept and see if it is a fit for your program.

This is an area I have not been great at getting into action. I’ve done contests, incentive programs, etc, but have not seen it really produce more team growth. Those who are going to do it, DO IT for their own incentives, not mine!

Do you hold weekly, monthly or no team meetings? How about conference calls?

I hold a weekly team conference call since my team is all over the country, and have had holiday gatherings and occasional local meetings for those nearby. These have been very successful and I now realize the importance of team bonding and relationships! These types of gatherings are what spur people into attending bigger regional and national events.

I also hold a team meeting at our national company convention each year. This is REALLY fun! I do training, awards and recognition. Because I build my business all online, as do much of my team, it gives everyone a chance to put faces and names together and create lasting friendships beyond the business partnership.

If you do hold team meetings why do you think they are important and what do you cover at your team meetings? Think about these things and poll your team on what matters most to them.

Again, the bonding and friendships created can really sustain people and inspire them to move forward. We cover all different topics related to business. Get the team involved in assisting and coaching on topics they know!

Avoid taking on the responsibility of being the lead motivator to anyone but yourself. Coach others on exploring their own reasons, motivations and short comings and put each one in charge of his/her own personal growth and accountability.

Try this and I believe you will see a shift in the mindset of those who are going to make things happen!

I am doing an MLM survey, those in MLM, please help?

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 5:11 am on Monday, April 6, 2009

Do you consider your downline to be similar to hiring employees or as a compilation of businesses?

If you consider them to be like employees, do you push them to strive for more sales or more recruiting (if your answer is sales or both, how much does your average downline do in sales per month)?

If you consider them separate businesses of their own (thus assuming you don’t depend on your downline for income), how much personal volume (sales on your own) do you do?

***please don’t come in here telling me you do all sorts of personal sales without stating how much monthly PERSONAL volume you do and what percentage of it you earn as commission. I need hard numbers, even if they are estimates.

Thanks.
Since MLM is a business, I would expect some professionalism in the answers. MLMers, please don’t disappoint.
For those that actually answered the question, is providing numbers to difficult? It all sounds like fluff so far. DON’T JUST TELL ME YOU ARE SELLING A LOT, GIVE SOME NUMBERS. This is why no one believes you!!! (multipure417278 - get the picture???)

How To Increase Retention In Your MLM Downline

Filed under: Mlm — Agloco Downline Builder at 4:52 am on Sunday, April 5, 2009

Anyone who has recruited more than a couple of people into their network marketing business has experienced a lack of retention. While you are recruiting a new partner for your mlm business 2 others are dropping out. Obviously, this is frustrating. It is even more frustrating to see people leaving faster than you can recruit them. What can you do to build a network marketing downline that becomes more stable?

Too often we are so caught up in recruiting a new mlm downline that we forget about the downline we already have. We focus all of our energies on the toughest part of building the business which is recruiting. Yet we forget to take action on the easiest part: Follow-up customer service.

While follow-up customer service may seem difficult to get to sometimes, it is extremely important for future growth and improving your retention rates. The number of people in the downline who drop out should not be dropping out like they are.

Your goal should be to improve the retention rate within your own team and to make your customer service to your downline a priority. It is far more difficult to recruit new people than it is to follow-up and follow-through with those you already have.

Below are seven things you MUST do to increase the chances of keeping your network marketing business with a full and profitable downline.

1. Implement a customer service policy. If you truly want to build a solid and profitable network marketing business, you need to provide service and follow-up to your downline.

2. Follow-up is following-through. You must follow-up with your new downline within one week. Call them within one week of to see if they are using the products and if they have any questions you can answer.

3. Staying in contact shows you care. Building a successful downline for your network marketing business is all about building relationships.

4. Anticipate the needs of your downline. By staying in contact, you can anticipate or stay ahead of your their needs. As someone who is successful yourself you know what they are going to thru and will go through to build their business.

5. Keep records on your downline. Jot down notes on your converstaions for future follow-up.

6. Work closely and be supportive. No one is guaranteed success. However, you will be amazed at how high of a success rate you will have with those you personally sponsor when you work closely with them and are supportive of their efforts.

7. Create intimacy with your downline. Show them you are not just in it to get their money. If you provide value through concern for them as a person and deliver quality customer service in every way possible, you will find your downline will be there for the long term.

In summary make follow-up and customer service with your network marketing mlm downline a priority. This is the key to higher retention and increased income for you and them in the future.
